New College Library’s MS 280 is an example of excellent quality. The text of this codex, copied in a very elegant, 15th-century hand, consists of Paulus Diaconus, Historia Romana; an anonymous List of Emperors, from Augustus to Justinus in the sixth century; Victor Vitensis, Historia persecutionis Africanae provinciae; and Pomponius Mela, De chorographia.
